Transforms don't execute until the consumer pulls. There's no eager evaluation, no hidden buffering. Data flows on-demand from source, through transforms, to the consumer. If you stop iterating, processing stops.
Note: This blog post started just after we wrapped up the work on Black Ostrich, and then there was a lot of babying that didn't let me finish it. That's why it's using 2023 data. Redoing the work is mostly automation, but takes many, many weeks, and I suspect the results will not have changed much.

Snapchat has been adding more tools for influencers to build audiences, most recently launching individual creator subscriptions. An awards show seems to be part of that same agenda, spotlighting popular personalities from many different fields. There will be Snappys handed out for categories such as Spotlight MVP, Best Storyteller and Breakout Creator of the Year, plus awards for collaboration, cultural impact and success in single subjects.
